Anatomy of Rape - Why they do it

For the last 10 - 20 years we've been APING western dress sense in India. I'm not saying western culture because we've not adopted the whole western culture but only a selected part of it especially related to dressing.
Joota Japani Patloon Englistani Topi Roosi Fir bhi dil hai Hindustani remember?

This aping of short and scanty dressing exposing much of the body generates Desire among everybody around. I'm not saying that only women dress scantily and that men have uncontrollable desires. It works equally well the other way around also. Why, don't we remember half naked salman khan? How many women still are mad about him. And don't men try to follow his (and such other's )dress sense only to please women.

In the western world this desire finds vent in the form of free sex. There is absolutely no restrictions on anybody from having sex with anybody, anytime and anywhere. This concept of "free world" is absent in India. Thus the desire generated is Suppressed. This pent up desire shows up as forceful sex. When this forceful sex occurs between two individuals and one of them feels misused, it is termed RAPE.

The solution to this? Well there are three possible solutions to this situation. The problem is some of the solutions are CAN'T DO and others are WON'T DO.

One solution could be To dress reasonably so as to reflect our culture and show in our dress what we mean in our mind. This is a Won't do solution. Do we have no freedom to dress however we like, people especially women's rights organisations ask. What is being said is that every dressing style has its consequences. If you choose dressing one way you should be ready to face the resultant consequences. Not that they will occur 100% but chances are more.

Another solution could be to adopt the western concept of free sex and do away with the restrictions or taboo around sex. This is a can't do solution, what will happen to Indian Culture people love asking as if it's not already happening around us.

And finally we could have or develop more self control and not behave like a computer program (if view scantily dressed person; then uncontrolled desire => sex(even rape ); view++)
India has always been a country of people of higher understanding with amazing ability to control one's senses even against extremes like severe cold excessive heat even fire. control of sexual desires for such people is no big deal at all. This is definitely a WON'T DO solution. Why you may ask, it seems the most logical one. If everybody was a Gentleman then we wouldn't need a Policeman. Seeing as it is that there are many policemen around we can conclude that there aren't many Gentlemen around.

The problem of this solution seems to be one of will, seeing as it is that most of the solutions are WON'T DO. Lack of this will results in what we are seeing around us. One has to will to dare to do something even if one goes wrong. One can always correct oneself. But if lacks the courage to act then future is doomed.

I personally feel (much against my wish, my preference would be option three ) India will move towards 2nd solution in the near future, a complete adoption of western culture (and a future "revival of Indian Culture", why let go of it in the first place?). Signs of this adoption are visible already within our society. What with live in relations, friends with benefits, social gatherings, chocolates, pizzas and coke for celebrations. A complete antithesis of Indian Culture.

What will finally happen we have to wait and see. As of now there are only more and more rape news. What kind of environment are we to bring up our children in?

Lonely!!! Not so!

Much as we feel happy being lonely on this lonely Planet

The world was not made to be experienced all by oneself. It was made to be shared with someone, Someone you would want to share it with.

Who, is up to you.

But one thing is sure, Life was never meant to be spent alone. It may take time to find someone to share it with. But sooner or later you'll find someone who is the right person for you to share it with

Even the Lord of Sanyas, Lord Shiva says the same thing much against what you may expect from the Param Sanyasi. That too, An Aghori.

Even a song goes thus:

Tanha Tanha yahan pe jeen
                               Yeh koi baat hai

Koi saath nahi tera yahan to
                               Yeh koi baat hai

But, I still have a hard time believing it. Maybe my time has not yet come.

Deep Feelings??

Sometimes we feel things that others may think are ridiculous. It's not always clear why we get such feelings, even though we ourselves may get the feeling that the feelings in question may seem outright ridiculous.

I have a feeling that I can take care of my sister's children better than my sister herself or than my mother who is the most experienced person in this matter.

I don't know why I have this feeling? Maybe because the kids are so attached to me or have become sort of dependent on me. They take my name all the time while eating, sleeping, playing, and everything.

Maybe I have become dependent on their dependence on me. This is the first time in my life that someone is so emotionally dependent on me. I don't consider myself dependable, but my kids don't know that or they don't seem to care. All they are concerned about right now is the Love they get from me. Why can't the whole world be as simple as these kids?

Something to think about.!

Anamika Tu Bhi Tarase

Meri bheegi bheegi si

            palkon pe rehagaye

                    jaise mere sapne bikhar ke

Jale man tera bhi

           kisi ke milan ko

                    Anamika tu bhi tarase.

When someone has made you suffer, How wise is it or is it at all wise to wish the same suffering upon your perpetrator?

Why did they compose such a song all those years ago?

Dard e dil

Rone de aaj humko

                Tu aankhe sujhaane de

Baahon me le le aur

                Khud ko doob jaane de

Hai jo seene main kaid Dariya

                 Woh choot jaayega

Hai itna dard ki tera daaman

                 Bheeg jaayega

Kabhi apni tah-e-dil ki baat sunkar to dekho

Kasam se,   ro padoge!!

Song or Story of Life

Jaane kyun main sochta hoon

Khaali sa main ek raasta hoon

Tune mujhe kahin kho diya hai

Ya main kahin khud laapata hoon

Aa dhoond le tu fir mujhe

Kabtak tanhaai dil sahe

If we see carefully all songs are stories of life
They are based on life itself.

The Rain

The Rains

have the most amazing way of raining exactly when we want to go somewhere or do something very important to us. But we forget that these very rains are the source of life on earth. All those years ago, these very rains literally gave birth to life.
Rain also reminds us that we are actually living on a living planet even though we like to think we live in a world that we have created. Rains remind us that this world doesn't belong to us, but we belong to it, we are but an insignificant small speck on this world.
So the next time it rains on your plans, think again, the rains have greater right to be here than we or our insignificant plans!!

Life Online

It's amazing how one can post almost anything that occurs to one's mind, on to the Internet.

Life now has became more connected than ever imagined before. More people spend time online than before. What are the advantages of this new type of human behavior? Makes one wonder what human species has evolved into? This may be the next step in evolution of man from a hunter gatherer to farmer to industrial man now to online and connected man

Initially I was apprehensive about this new evolution and although I accepted computers and Internet with arms wide open, by creating social media accounts on Google (+Vivek) , twitter (@KulkarniVivek) , MSN etc. Now it seems the entire world and particularly my  home country India,  now has taken this culture very seriously and making their online presence known and felt by all. My open acceptance of these technologies, then, seems vindicated now. It has now compelled me to revive all my online interests that I started out all those years ago, when people were still not familiar with the very concept of computers or the Internet.
